Black frame windows
Energy efficiency

Builtfor Texasheat.

  • A microscopically thin coating that reflects infrared heat while letting visible light through. On west- and south-facing walls in DFW, it is the single most important feature of the glass.

  • Two or three panes separated by a sealed space. Insulated units resist heat transfer far better than single-pane glass, keeping rooms near windows more comfortable through Texas summers.

  • An inert gas denser than air, sealed between panes. Argon slows the movement of heat across the gap and pairs with Low-E coatings in most modern energy-efficient windows.

  • Low-E coatings filter a large share of ultraviolet light, which can help slow fading of floors, rugs and furniture in rooms that take heavy afternoon sun.

  • Frames, glass and spacers designed to limit heat flow. Insulating frame materials and thermally broken designs help keep the frame from carrying outdoor heat into the room.

  • Tight sashes, fresh weatherstripping and an insulated, sealed perimeter around every frame. Stopping drafts is as important as the glass, and it depends on careful installation.

  • The result you feel: rooms that stay usable on 100°F afternoons, fewer hot spots near glass, and less strain on your air conditioning through a long North Texas summer.

Actual comfort and energy results depend on your home, orientation, shading, insulation and HVAC. We explain the options; we do not promise specific savings.

Whole-home window replacement

Every opening.One plan.

How a whole-house project moves from the first walkthrough to the final one.

01
  1. 01

    INITIAL HOME CONSULTATION

We visit your home, look at every window you are considering, and talk through what is bothering you: heat, drafts, fogged glass, difficult operation or appearance. We bring frame and glass samples and answer your questions. The estimate is free.

  2. 02

    PRECISE MEASUREMENT

Every opening is measured at multiple points, with diagonals checked to reveal how far it has shifted out of square. Shaped openings are templated. These numbers, not stock sizes, determine what we order for your home.

  3. 03

    WINDOW & GLASS SELECTION

Together we choose style, frame material, color, grids and glass for each opening. Glass is tuned to exposure, with stronger solar control on west and south walls. You review the complete window schedule before anything is ordered.

  4. 04

    WINDOWS MANUFACTURED

Your windows are built to the measured size of each opening. We give you a realistic timeframe when the order is placed, keep you informed, and check every unit against the order when it arrives.

  5. 05

    PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION

Floors are protected, old units removed carefully and openings inspected. Each new frame is positioned, leveled, secured and insulated, the exterior is sealed, interior trim is finished and the glass is cleaned before the crew moves on.

  6. 06

    FINAL WALKTHROUGH

We walk every window with you, checking operation, locks, screens, trim and glass. Anything that is not right gets addressed. You leave the walkthrough knowing how each window works and how to care for it.

North Texas

Builtfor Texas.

North Texas asks a lot of a window. Afternoons past 100°F on west-facing glass. Spring hail that arrives without warning. Blackland Prairie clay that shifts foundations and pulls openings out of square. We specify every window for those conditions: Low-E glass tuned to each exposure, frames that hold their shape through heat and movement, and installation that seals every perimeter against wind-driven rain. The result is architecture that looks composed and performs through a Dallas–Fort Worth summer. Built for Texas views. Built for Texas heat.

All FAQs

What affects the cost of replacing windows?

Several factors shape the price. The number of windows and their sizes come first, followed by style, since casements, bay and bow units and shaped windows involve more components than a fixed or single-hung unit. Frame material matters, as do frame color, grid patterns and the glass package you choose. Installation conditions also play a part: second-story access, oversized units, openings that need repair, and any structural changes. Because every home in Dallas–Fort Worth is different, we provide a written estimate after seeing your windows in person rather than quoting a generic figure.

Is the in-home estimate really free?

Yes. We come to your home, look at every window you are considering, talk through what is bothering you and what you would like to change, and show you samples of frame colors, materials and glass. We take preliminary measurements and follow up with a written estimate. There is no charge for the visit and no obligation to go ahead. Call 214-336-8629 or use the free estimate form to schedule a time that works for you.

Why don't you list prices on your website?

Because a price without context is rarely accurate. Two homes with the same number of windows can differ widely in sizes, styles, access, the condition of the openings and the glass each elevation needs. A west-facing wall of large picture windows on a second story is a different project from a set of ground-floor bedroom windows. We would rather give you a precise written estimate based on your actual home than a number that changes once we see it.

Is it more cost-effective to replace all windows at once?

Replacing every window together can simplify the project: one consultation, one order, one installation period, and consistent frame color and grids throughout. That efficiency can make the per-window cost of a whole-home project more favorable than several smaller projects spread over years. That said, phasing is a legitimate choice, and many homeowners start with the windows causing the most discomfort. We can price both approaches so you can compare.

What should I have ready for the estimate visit?

Nothing formal. It helps to know which windows bother you most and why: heat, drafts, fogging, difficult operation, noise or appearance. If you live in an HOA community, having your architectural guidelines handy is useful. Consider if you want to keep your current frame color or change it. Clear access to the windows makes measuring easier. Most of all, bring your questions, since the visit is designed to answer them.

What is Low-E glass and does it help in Texas?

Low-E stands for low emissivity. It is a microscopically thin coating on the glass that reflects infrared and long-wave heat while letting visible light pass through. In North Texas, where summer afternoons regularly pass 100°F, that heat reflection is the most important job glass does. Low-E coatings come in different formulations, some tuned for strong solar control on west and south walls, others for more light on shaded sides. Most are nearly invisible, and we bring samples so you can see them in your own rooms.
